Mothers, children and supporters will be gathering at locations throughout Aotearoa New Zealand to kick off the 2018 World Breastfeeding Week celebrations.

On Friday 3 and Saturday 4 August (see Facebook event page or the website for locations, times and more information), New Zealanders will be part of the 40,000 women and children globally who are taking part in the annual Big Latch On to celebrate, support and promote breastfeeding.

Visit the website for more information – there is an FAQ page, too.

Note, there is still time to register an event, and there is an ‘I latched on’ breastfeeding selfie initiative, if you are not able to participate in your local community.
