General Practitioner peer groups meet four times a year in sessions facilitated by a Clinical Director. Topics generally follow the Best Practice Advocacy Centre themes and add in local issues.
All new members of Comprehensive Care are automatically assigned to a Peer Group as part of the membership enrolment process.
Nurse peer review sessions are held every six weeks providing an opportunity for nurses to work in groups to review aspects of their practice through reflection, review, critique and discussion.
The aim is to have a forum for growth and development of the professional self, improving functionality in clinical practice and coping. The sessions offer personal and informational support to nurses working in our general practice teams.
