Expert Speaker Series: COPD Update

The Expert Speaker Series is a year-round education programme for primary care teams. It features webinars and face-to-face sessions on topics identified through last year’s education survey, presented by expert clinicians.

Our first session, presented by Laura Campbell and Nikola Ncube, both Respiratory Clinical Nurse Specialists at North Shore Hospital.

Laura will share the latest chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) guideline updates and what they mean for everyday clinical practice, helping primary care teams stay up to date in supporting patients with COPD.

Nikola will provide a lung cancer update for primary care, covering lung nodules, screening in New Zealand, early detection, practical investigations, referral pathways, and key updates in practice.

Designed for busy primary care teams, the session will provide practical, evidence-based insights to help attendees apply the updated COPD guidance in everyday practice and support confident, consistent, best-practice care.
